Page Title:
DISCLAIMER
Some concerned family and friends have pointed out that it could be construed that I may be attacking some of the people in the Shams/Infomercial Information Subsection, and may be liable for lawsuits. I don't believe this is the case, as I'm simply reporting what I've read and what I (and trusted advisors) know and believe. (Our opinions and my research.)
HOWEVER, in the interest of self-preservation:
I have not purchased (nor am I interested in purchasing) any of these "opportunities", "services", "systems" and "products" ("products", from here on), and have become extremely cynical about many infomercials in general. I cannot afford to make ANY type of mistake as I am on a limited and fixed disability income, and I believe that many people who are looking for these types of products can ill-afford the money many will eventually cost them.
I will tell you if I have purchased or gotten involved with any of them. You MUST assume that my cynicism, knowledge (my own and others') and the negative reports I've found have "put me off" from "wasting my money" or "taking the chance" and any "positive" comments or rebuttals have not mitigated that feeling enough to sway my thinking.
This site was developed so you, yourself, can make an INFORMED DECISION on any products you wish to pursue.
I have provided links to at least the main, and sometimes other related sites for the products, themselves, and have already explained that while it's pretty easy to find plenty of sites that say positive things about them, it sometimes takes a few search result pages to find the negatives. The idea of THESE pages is to make finding SOME of the latter easier, and explain why I don't find the products appealing for myself, relatives or friends.
I do not promote (other than to provide links to the main sites), nor do I endorse, ANY of the infomercial products I review.
It's true that most, if not all, of the links I provide for each infomercial are negative toward the person or product. As I've said, it's easy enough to find positive remarks. Just be sure you research the person, the product, the company, and maybe even ask people who've had BOTH positive and negative experiences before deciding to purchase anything from an infomercial. I am only posting on this site information and opinions that I would send to my family and friends.
PLEASE NOTE: In ALL cases, there are people who say these products have worked for them. Sometimes the negative reports/reviews are rebutted "inline". By the same token, I've seen plenty of "rip-off reports" and "reviews" where it appears that "company people" (if not the seller, themselves, usually utilizing an alias) rebut others' arguments. , And sometimes the arguments back and forth get quite contentious.
I have NO CONTROL over content that's NOT hosted on Orange Frog Productions sites.
Specifically for the Health-Related Infomercial pages - The information. shown on those pages, is provided for informational purposes only and is not meant to substitute for the advice of your own physician or another medical professional. DO NOT use this information for diagnosing or treating a health problem or disease, or prescribing any medication. If you think you have a health problem, call your doctor, right away. The statements contained on any of those pages have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Those products are not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease.
The terms "sham", "scam", "scams", "flim-flam", "complain", "complaints", "rip", "rip-off", "fraud", "warning", similar words, and maybe "review" were sometimes used in searching for negative comments and reviews, and are meant to help searchers find the product reviews. They are NOT meant to imply anything about the product in question.
Any comments I, personally make, past reporting what I found, are based on my findings, experience and knowledge (my own and, in some cases, other people I know and respect), and will usually include examples of and reasons why I don't find the product ... "appealing".
See, also, my General Disclaimer for this section.
JUST BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!
