My LYAO Frog was part of a famous neon sign (wish I had one). I cleaned him up and changed him to an "oranger" color. The "LYAO" is simply spaced letters, then I laid the other letters of the words onto the banner. The original was not framed, so, using the colors from the main letters and one of the colors from the changed frog, I framed it to make is stand out a little more.

The buttons were all made using the banner's colors with the lower and right side having a 1px black border and the upper and right side a little lighter brownish-orange. Another version was made with the borders reversed for the rollover effect.

The background "sidebar" image was from a magazine ad, scanned in, changed to gray-scale, and "dyed" a nice green color. The background right-side was a light green, but made as a GIF, which uses fewer colors than JPG. It was kinda neat, though not exactly what I had intended, so I kept it.

Current Splash Screen
Published March, 2006

Hmmm... Never really checked to see how close the color of the LYAO background was compared to what I ended up with for OFPv2. Apparently, I think it's light enough! LOL Besides, it IS part of OFPv2!

I kinda liked to use Splash Screens for the Index page (Site Home Page) in case I wanted to add something. (For example, for Bud Sanders Appraisals, after 9/11/2001 happened, we put a patriotic banner on the Index/Splash page.) I normally used META REFRESH with a zero-second timeout for those without anything on them to launch directly into the home page of the site. However, I found that Google and others don't like those pages, and even with a semi-hidden "Site Map" link on the page, tended to skip the sites. So, I either removed them, or, as follows, added a paragraph to describe the site and an image. I made the META Refresh delay for 30-60 seconds (or removed it completely) and made the picture a link into the Home Page of the site. (Just click it on the real splash screen.)

I used the "braying jackass" image from the magazine ad (see above) in full color, and VIOLA! (Wah-La!) An LYAO-Online Splash Page/Screen!

LYAO Online Archive Index
Published March, 2006 (Updated as pages are added)

As I was creating the site, I decided to go directly to the Archive Index (LYAO-Online Home), rather than the History or About Pages, so with one click, the user can see an old LYAO, or, using the buttons or linkbar links, other parts of the site. (The image, below, shows darker lines in some places. This is a result of image resolution rather than the way it actually appears.)

Check out the site (click the button on the left) and have some laffs!
