Non-Fiction/True Stories
These stories actually happened, mostly to me; some to loved ones. Therefore, they are more "personal" than items in some of the other divisions of this Section. I've tried to be careful not to "embellish" or update them without being obvious. Sometimes, parts may be a little unbelievable but we were there, and we can tell you... they happened!
Some are older, but I've tried to arrange them in a (close to) chronological order. Most were dated when I wrote them. Note that if there are minor "updates", they will be included in square brackets ("[" and "]"). Otherwise, the stories are as they were originally written.
- The "Bestest" Birthday Ever - An "engaging" story.
- And Then We Were One - The story of Chris and my marriage.
- New Van Shopping (01/2006) - What happened when we looked for a new van.
- Prompted by an Email - I Love You - To my family and friends: Why can't we say the words?
- Kyndel Christine Klump, born 08/08/2006 - Chris' first granddaughter, my first step-granddaughter - OMG! I'm Married to a GRANDMA!
- A Tribute
to Mamaw - This is my indulgence in creating a
tribute page to my grandmother, Alice Elizabeth Glover
Sanders Gray, who died April 21, 2007 at the age of 91.
- Memories of Mamaw - Most are from people responding to my page.
Also found in the Opinions/Commentary Division
I think these should go here, too, since the story happened to someone in my family, which prompted the opinion/commentary.
- Who's Responsible?
A fender-bender is caused by median sprinklers; Whose fault is the accident? - Boobs, Asses & Being Physically-Challenged
We went to the Indianapolis Zoo... I saw all kinds of Boobs and Asses (and a few animals, too) -
