Voting Precinct for Central Township

Main Entrance picture shows no curb-cuts for wheelchair/scooter ramps, and no handicapped entrance. The walkway, to the right, leads to the handicapped entrance on the side. (See below)
Walk from Main to Handicapped Entrance

Handicapped Entrance (1) shows walkway from front/main entrance to handicapped entrance. In the front of the picture, you can see that there's no sidewalk along Fordice Street. It's not easy to tell, here, but the stairs to this entrance are wider than ramp (for what purpose?), the porch is not wide enough to turn around a wheelchair or (especially) scooter on, the door, itself, is only 36" or so wide, and there's no automatic door/switch. There IS a doorbell by the door, but no indication the it still works (it's an old one).
Handicapped Entrance and Corner

This picture is another angle of the Handicapped Entrance. It also shows the corner and lack of curb-cuts for wheelchair and scooter accessibility.
Handicapped Entrance and Sidewalk from Street
Taken 11/20/2006 by Bill Sanders
Handicapped Entrance (2) shows the walkway from Fordice Street to the handicapped entrance. In the front of the picture, you can see that there's no sidewalk along Fordice Street, nor is there any way for a lone wheelchair/scooter rider to get onto the walk from the street. It's easier to tell, here, that the stairs to this entrance are wider than ramp.
This is the driveway to the armory garage, off Fordice Street. As you can see, there's no sidewalk down Fordice, to the left. To the right, is a gravel entry to the "back yard", and to the right of that, enough room to park 2-3 vehicles before a bridge. During voting, people park in the yard (if they can't find a spot along the street), walk down the street and around the corner to the main entrance. With no sidewalk, they either walk on the grass (it was wet, slippery and muddy on Election Day, this year), or on the road, beside the cars parked there. This street is barely wide enough for two vehicles to pass in opposite directions when there are cars parked on it.
BTW: I had to park in the last spot before the bridge, unload, and drive my scooter in the street to the corner, where the curb is shortest. Leaving, I'd thought to ride in the grass to the driveway, THEN out to the street to my car, but this curb is 2-3" high on the GRASS side, and there was no way to get my scooter over it.
