Commentary

As the email points out, it's been close to 60 years since World War II. Many of the participants (those fighting) have either passed on, or are in their "declining years". The youngest babies, who actually survived their families' decimation, not by the war, but by the acts of the Nazis, would now be in their 60s, and may not even remember. And who were children who saw it happen and remember, most very vividly, would be older. Why is this important?

Almost from the end of the war, there have been people trying convince the world that events that ACTUALLY TRANSPIRED never happened. Somehow, they have convinced themselves that all the proof (documents, pictures, movies) are all part of a world-wide conspiracy, and that it never happened. And, as WWII falls to history to remember, they are working hard to rewrite history thusly.

Well, IT HAPPENED.

If you don't believe it actually happened, then explain why so many who escaped with their lives tell the same-type stories? They wouldn't all be the same, as everyone's perceptions and experiences are different. If you say it's hypnosis, then logically, couldn't YOU have been hypnotized to NOT believe it?

I know some of you will believe all these sites to be manufactured, the images special effects and costuming, the movies pure Hollywood, and the memories to be lies. For the others of you, here are some sites you should look at now and then, to remind yourself and your children, about what happened in Germany and other Nazi-controlled parts of Europe:

[Edit 12/01/2009] Most all the information in the above websites have to do with the Jews killed during the Holocaust. What many people don't know, or don't care to know, is that other races were also targeted, And, by many peoples' accounts, they are still being targeted, run out of cities, towns, and countries, killed, and there are few reports in the world about it's happening. Some, especially those of this group, feel and believe there's a concerted conspiracy among nations to rid the world of them. For example: The UN moves them into UN-built camps, where the ground and water are poisoned with lead. They are the true Gypsies, aka the Romani or Roma (not really "from" Romania). History Repeats
Other Genocides and "Holocausts"

As is stated by numerous people, OK... Maybe paraphrased - "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." If you think about it, many tyrants apparently look to history to see how they can control and get rid of those they disagree with or don't like for ANY reason, and they believe they can do it without making the same mistakes their predecessors did.

In many countries, lack of education of the masses has lead to some of those masses following the despots. This lack is perpetuated BY the tyrants and their followers to help keep those masses from learning the truth about the way the world really is. And many force-feed their people with their own hatred of other people/countries. (For example: Iran.)

Genocide, which is

has been going on for thousands of years. Most recently, we have heard of it happening in Rwanda, Yugoslavia, Cambodia, and Iraq, among others.

And now, fundamental Muslims have banded together, some with the terrorist group, al-Qaida, to attempt to rid "their land" and the world, of all "non-Muslims", including Muslims who don't believe as they do. This is one of the reasons for the many car- and suicide-bombings in the Middle East.

Check the links below to find out about other genocides and "Holocausts", many of which the UN and other world organizations have and do turn a "blind eye" to. Be warned that some sites contain disturbing pictures.

How can the world let this go on? "Ethnic Cleansing" by murder is Genocide. However, it's a more ... shall we say ... "palatable" term to the UN. Apparently, this was the term used in Yugoslavia, and probably elsewhere, to keep the UN at bay. "Ethnic Cleansing", you see, can be accomplished by deportation and forced emigration, too. So, the UN, apparently, doesn't look into these things, despite reports, pictures, movies, news, preferring to believe the tyrants are being honest, I guess. AND they rebuke, reprimand, chastise, and protest when any nation attempts to step in and help those being killed.

There's a new term being bandied about for this type of thing: "Civil War," something else the UN tries to stay away from. Think about it... Sunnis and Shiites are fighting in Iraq, trying to rid Iraq and the world of the other. Because they are not a government or government official, the UN calls it a "civil war". If it were otherwise, they [hopefully] WOULD step in, or at the very least "impose sanctions" (read "We will not send food and medicine, allowing the people who need them to died of starvation and disease") while the parties in question continue to kill each other. (As effective as the UN could be, I'm beginning to think the UN can be VERY ineffectual when they want to be.)

And Al-Qaida knows this (bin Laden and his commanders ain't dumb!) either supporting one side, or sending their suicide bombers in to provoke continued fighting. They also know that a majority of the American Public want to "bring the troops home", rather than continue helping the Iraqi Government try to quash the fighting.

If we, as a world, are to honor the "Never Again" we said after the Holocaust, we must stop all genocide, whether it's called "Ethnic Cleansing", "Civil War", or whatever. It will take more than one or two nations, it will take the world, and it will take commitment. Isn't that what the UN is supposed to be about?

Ok... Maybe I rambled a little, going from the Holocaust (Nazi Germany) to Genocide (and how it still goes on, today despite the world-wide call "Never Again") to the Iraq War (and how I can see it's more attempted "genocide" by al-Qaida and each party than it is a "civil war") to how I believe that it appears the UN looks at things. I still think it all ties together and makes sense. Don't you?
