Each item in question is in a white box and listed first, followed by it's status, links to my sources (where I determined the fact was right, wrong, etc.), and any comments I might have on the subject in a light yellow box. ;-)
Any short notes written by me on quoted material are in square brackets ("[" and "]"]

AKA: I Miss Clinton

Bill Clinton
It doesn't matter what party you belong to - this is hilarious.
From a show on Canadian TV. There was a black comedian who said he misses Bill Clinton.
"Yep, that's right - I miss Bill Clinton! He was the closest thing we ever got to having a black man as President.
- Number 1 - He played the sax.
- Number 2 - He smoked weed.
- Number 3 - He had his way with ugly white women.
Even now? Look at him... His wife works, and he don't! And, he gets a check from the government every month.

There's a lot of discussion all over the internet about who the comedian was. Well, I finally found that it was Suli McCullough. I'm sure it's been used in his act before, and the above is probably a direct quote of at least one of his shows. The origianl video version I found, I believe, was different than the one I found 06/02/2007. In the future, this version may be completely different, or may be gone entirely. Be sure to check out Search for "Suli" at Just For laughs, if the above link doesn't work.

Obviously, these are a small compilation of Clinton jokes. Suli McCullough never said them (they weren't part of his act), or if he did, I couldn't find any attribution to that effect.
End Notes
This is the way that quote- and joke-lists become attributed to someone who didn't say them.
Obviously, someone compiled a list of Clinton jokes, including the Suli McCullough quote, and didn't note that the quote and the list were two different sets via bullet points or paragraphs. And, if they did, someone following removed the differentiation, causing later readers to believe the whole set was the "black comedian's." Discerning readers, though, note the difference in tone.
(Other times, someone will tack on a quote by a comedian whose "style" might be the same, or close, to the list of jokes, and someone down the road believes the comedian said the whole thing.)
Be aware that "list" emails may contain other jokes, quotes, or information, and just because an email said someone said something, doesn't mean they did.
If you are the recipient of an email list, and tack on a joke or quote by someone, be sure to mark attributions correctly, and, if you don't know, don't add your own mistaken attributions.
(I know this probably won't change anybody's practices in sending emails, but it might make people think about the emails they receive, and how well-known and other people can get "blamed" for saying something they didn't.)
