NOTE: This page Under Construction/Conversion
This page has not been completely converted to OFPv2 Standards.
When this is completed, this paragraph will go away.
Meanwhile, all external links on this page open a new window.
NOTES:
This is the drill with two "grip and flip" heads. Seems it's more of "handyman" tool, not fast enough for construction people. The couple (male and female) sell other "hardware" items.
As you can see, this page is not complete. I have transferred the information from the old Infomercial Info page (or notes I took) to give myself (and you) a reference and starting point. I used other pages as a template, and have left bits and pieces of paragraphs. They may or MAY NOT apply to THIS product.
The links from the original reference or notes have been transferred here, too. Other than the link(s) to the product site(s), they have not been "categorized". I will also find other links when I get to the conversion of this page.
Once this page is complete, the links note (above right) will be updated, and this whole section will be removed.
The Infomercial
Dual Drill Infomercial
This is "infomercial" in its short form. This one is only about 10 minutes, if that. It stars Jane DeNoble and Joe Fowler, a couple I've seen (well, at least Joe) do many other handyman-type commercials/infomercials.
Joe puts up a picture for Jane using the "revolutionary" Dual-Drill, which comes with two rotating chucks. The idea is that you can use a drill-bit in one, for the starter hole, and "grip and flip" the chucks to a screwdriver bit in the other (no changing bits!)
Other examples of using this drill are shown, while Joe describes to Jane the advantages.
Later, Joe takes the drill to a construction job site, where the construction workers are (naturally) extremely impressed. He then has it dropped from a second- or third-story level to the ground littered with construction debris and rocks, below. Of course the battery pops off, and Joe is sure to mention that that's what it was designed to do. He puts the battery back on it, and shows that the drill still works, showing its "rugged" design. (It was pointed out on one site, below, that the drill was dropped "carefully" and "at the correct angle", so it would not be damaged - unlikely in the "real world".)
The Product
The drill is pretty much as shown on the left. The black chuck, apparently, is "locked in" to the red handle, allowing it only to turn, after the "grip" (the black "buttons" on the side) with a "flip".
It looks pretty good (for a "gadget" tool), and may be great for home and hobby use. But from all I've read, it's not really powerful enough (rpms are too low) and the battery doesn't last long enough for real construction work.
The kit costs $119.85 (three easy payments of $39.95) plus shipping and handling ($19.95). On the 15th day after you receive it (according to the site), they will charge you the first payment and S&H. If you DO return it within the 14-day trial period, they pay postage. If within the 30-day [money] back guarantee period, only the shipping and handling charge will apply (again, according to the site).
The Dual-Drill kit includes:
- Dual-Drill™ w/Dual Keyless Chuck Heads
- Super Long-life NiCad Battery (18Volts, 1700 mAH) - FREE REPLACEMENTS FOR LIFE! (When your Dual-Drill™ battery wears out, simply send it back to us and we'll send you a new battery, and all you pay is processing and handling.)
- Ultra Smart Charger (1 hour charge)
- 23 Piece Accessory Kit (drill and screwdriver bits)
- 30-Day Back Guarantee (and 14-day free trial)
- An impact-resistant carrying.
NOTE: I found it at a number of online and brick-and-mortar businesses, many cheaper. For example: Sears. Search for "Mansfield Dual-Drill" (with quotes) in Google and you will find them. Don't go with the first you find, though. I also saw it listed on eBay. Research!
Seems like it would be good and handy for home use.

Reviews and Warnings
This section lists the sites where I found "negative" comments about the people and company, and/or the product. Some of the terms "sham", "scam", "scams", "flim-flam", "complain", "complaints", "rip", "rip-off", "fraud", "warning", similar words, and maybe just "review" were used in searching for negative comments.
WARNING: Be aware that some of the following sites may be attempting to sell their own or lead you into buying another product. If you consider their (or others') offers, at least do as much research on them as you would in looking for a new house, car or doctor before buying anything. Also, be sure to read and understand any company's Privacy Policies and Terms/Conditions, too. A "$$" indicates these sites.
